This position is responsible for repairing construction machines, component assemblies, and parts in the shop and field. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, ordering parts, writing technical reports, warranty reporting, maintaining company assets, and effective communication with team members.
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required. An Associate Degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology or four years of apprenticeship experience is preferred. Technician classification depends on experience, knowledge, and competence.
The role requires sitting, standing, walking, and manual handling tasks such as reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, lifting, and crawling. Communication and hearing are also necessary. Reasonable accommodations are available for qualified individuals with disabilities.
The work involves exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, weather extremes, and vibration. Noise levels are moderate to loud.
