Role Summary
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be the frontline expert delivering precision calibration, commissioning, and repair services across customer sites throughout the UK. In your role, you will be home based travelling to customer sites daily to undertake your work.
Main Responsibilities

Calibrate, commission, and troubleshoot on-site process weighing systems using F1/M1 test weights, flow meters, and force calibration rigsInstall and commission belt weighers and boiler leak detection systemsCalibrate instruments for temperature, pressure, pH, conductivity, and magnet strengthPerform off-site repairs of scales and balancesComplete service reports and calibration certificates before leaving siteEnsure compliance with HSE policies and proceduresSupport assembly and testing at HQ as neededProvide weekend cover (one in every three Saturdays)Collaborate with or support fellow engineers on joint service jobsTravel and overnight stays across the UK as requiredQualifications and Experience
- ONC or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (HNC preferred)
- Time-served engineer or equivalent hands‑on field experience
- Strong background in service/calibration of process weighing equipment
- Experience in temperature calibration
- Exposure to food hygiene environments
- Knowledge of scales and systems used in silos, platforms, and industrial control
- Comfortable working under pressure and independently
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK and stay overnight as needed
- Proficient in fault finding on weighing systems
- Familiarity with electrical diagnostics and calibration equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
