Job description
Overview

Location: Plymouth, Cornwall Region

Purpose of the role

My client is one of Europe\'s largest renewable energy contractors and they are looking for a field service engineer to join their dynamic team in maintaining their solar plants to ensure they are operating optimally. As a Field Service Engineer, you will ensure the efficient maintenance of solar plants, performing both preventative and corrective tasks to keep our operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities
  • Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) procedures, actively participating in risk assessments.
  • Perform maintenance on electrical components, inverters, modules, CCTV/security systems, monitoring systems, and structures.
  • Provide detailed reports according to Lightsource BP standards, which can be prepared remotely.
  • Deliver electrical maintenance services across a specified region, with occasional travel to other regions for additional support.
  • Assist in compiling insurance and warranty claims.
  • Take full ownership of assigned sites.
  • Manage relationships with local subcontractors.
Person Specifications
  • Electrically trained with qualifications such as BS7671 and Level 3 Electrical NVQ or equivalent
  • Experience in industrial PV installation maintenance, inverter maintenance, and HV switching (Desirable but not essential)
  • Proactive, autonomous, and initiative-driven.
  • Team player with good time-management and punctuality.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize effectively.
  • Clean Driving License
