Job description

The Service Engineer performs required preventive and corrective maintenance on the STERIS/Cantel product lines and field troubleshooting primarily in the service area of the country. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance required on STERIS/Cantel product lines, related product lines, and competitive equipment. This includes disassembling, replacing, or repairing defective parts; rewiring or reassembling as required; troubleshooting, adjusting/calibrating, and certifying equipment ready for use by using standard and specialized tools and test equipment (i.e., schematics, diagrams, technical manuals, etc.).

• Perform administrative duties as assigned, including computer synchronization daily, completing service reports, and maintaining tools and parts inventory to prescribed levels as required by Team Leaders and Service Manager.
• Uses the Corporate applications (Siebel, Oracle, Sales Connection, others) to handle daily activity.
• Develop and maintain effective, communicative relationships with customers, managers, support functions, and the sales organization.
• Maintains a courteous and professional demeanor when working with customers, contractors, management, and fellow employees. Utilize customer protocols when entering and exiting facilities and abide by all STERIS and Customer Health & Safety protocols and procedures.
• Provide solutions to customers to enhance sales and growth in the field through effective positioning of STERIS/Cantel products and services, identifying opportunities, and passing leads to management and sales.
• Other duties as assigned by the Service Manager.
