Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking a Field Service Engineer to perform diagnostics and repairs on mechanical and electronic forecourt equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical maintenance, a valid UK driving licence, and good organisational skills. Attractive benefits include a base salary of approximately £27,200, with an OTE of £32,000-£34,000, along with overtime, allowances, and a company van available for personal use.

Qualifications

Field Service EngineerLocation: 1x Dartford / South East London & 1x Crawley; Salary: £27,200 base + overtime, allowances, and standby; OTE: £32,000-£34,000; Type: Permanent, Full-time

The Role

As a Field Service Engineer, you will:

  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on mechanical and electronic forecourt equipment, including fuel dispensers, tank gauges, pump controllers, and POS systems.
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance, site surveys, calibration, and commissioning tasks.
  • Manage your own workload and van stock, travelling to different customer sites.
  • Deliver excellent service with a customer-focused approach.
Requirements
  • Proven mechanical maintenance or repair experience.
  • A valid UK driving licence.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Previous experience with fuel forecourt systems is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.

  • OTE: £32,000-£34,000 including:
