Job summary

A leading cybersecurity firm is seeking a Sales Engineer to join their UK & Ireland Sales Engineering team. In this customer-facing technical role, you will manage the technical aspects of sales opportunities, delivering demos and providing technical guidance to customers. The ideal candidate should have 2–3+ years of experience in security pre-sales, hands-on knowledge of relevant security technologies, and excellent communication skills. Willingness to travel (~50%) is required.

The Opportunity

Bitdefender is hiring a Sales Engineer to join our UK & Ireland Sales Engineering team, part of the EMEA & SEA SE organization. This is a customer-facing technical role where you’ll own the technical aspects of opportunities, acting as a trusted security advisor to customers and partners.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the technical side of sales opportunities, from discovery through validation
  • Deliver product demos, technical deep dives, and Proof of Concepts
  • Advise customers on how Bitdefender solutions address security, risk, and compliance challenges across on-prem and cloud environments
  • Lead technical discussions, solution design, and validation activities
  • Support RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires
  • Build strong technical relationships with customers and partners
  • Deliver partner technical training and enablement sessions
  • Engage with internal teams (Sales, Product, R&D) to support customer success
  • Participate in industry events and partner activities
What You Bring
  • 2–3+ years’ experience in security pre-sales / sales engineering
  • Hands-on knowledge of Endpoint Security, EDR/XDR, SIEM, Email Security, and Threat Intelligence
  • Experience securing and supporting Windows, Linux, and macOS environments
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms and security concepts (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Knowledge of risk management, compliance frameworks (e.g. ISO, NIST, GDPR, DORA, NIS2), and security governance
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Microsoft, Nutanix)
  • Familiarity with containers (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Customer-focused, collaborative, and technically curious
  • Willingness to travel (~50%)
