A government statistics provider is hiring a Field Interviewer in the North East of England. This role offers flexible working hours with 22 contracted hours per week. Candidates should be friendly and outgoing, with excellent communication and self-management skills. A full UK Driving License, a car, and familiarity with technology are essential. Training will be provided before starting the role.

This opportunity is to join our team as a Field Interviewer working for the Office for National Statistics via AMS. As a Field Interviewer, you will carry out official surveys to inform Government about the state of the nation. The role starts with five weeks of comprehensive training to ensure success in the role. It is not office based and requires work within a 40-mile radius (approx.) of an allocated location. Work will be allocated to fit contracted hours within this area, and you should consider how your home location relates to your chosen location preference.
The role offers flexible working hours, broadly equivalent to 22 hours per week. Interviews will typically be conducted between 09:00 and 20:00, with potential for admin and travel time outside these hours. Interviews will occur across mornings, afternoons and evenings, contracted to Monday to Saturday.
Assessment at application stage will consider work history, skills and experience, and your personal statement. If successful, you will be invited to a video interview lasting 30 to 45 minutes. You should prepare evidence in the interview to support what you included in your application and familiarise yourself with the required competencies.
Successful candidates must undergo BPSS checks and a criminal record check.
