• Previous experience on Openreach OH/UG network is crucial.
• Experience in fibre splicing and labelling required.
• Familiarity with testing and fault finding in optical networks.

Responsibilities

• Connect customers from access nodes and install fibre drop cables.
• Demonstrate cable and sub-duct pulling techniques safely.
• Maintain a safe working environment and adherence to regulations.

Skills

Experience working on the Openreach OH/UG network

Splicing and dressing fibre

Using OTDR and optical power meters

NRSWA Unit 2 certification

Customer connection experience

Cable and sub-duct pulling techniques

Knowledge of blowing large fibre count cables

Ability to work in confined spaces

Organisational and communication skills

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
