Job summary

A recruitment agency specializing in Skills & Employability is seeking a Health and Social Care Assessor for a full-time, home/field-based role in the North West. Candidates must have a minimum of one year's experience delivering Apprenticeship Standards and a recognised Assessor award. The role involves assessing learners, delivering Functional Skills training, and supporting their progress. Flexibility with travel is required, and a clean driving license is a must.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year's experience in delivering Health and Social Care Apprenticeship Standards.
  • Must hold a recognised Assessor award.
  • Ideally hold or willing to complete a recognised Teaching qualification.
  • Hold occupational competency in Health and Social Care (Elderly).
  • Must have a full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and support learners working towards Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care.
  • Deliver training for Functional Skills Maths and English.
  • Manage diary for timely visits and reviews.
  • Organize and maintain documentation on learners’ progress.
  • Support and motivate learners.

Skills

Experience delivering Health and Social Care Apprenticeship Standards
Good level of ICT skills
Confident in delivering Functional Skills Maths and English
Organizational skills
Professionalism and ability to inspire

Education

Recognised Assessor award (D32/33, A1, CAVA, or TAQA)
Teaching qualification (PTLLS/AET) or willingness to complete
Occupational competency in Health and Social Care (Elderly)
