Make a Difference Where It Matters Most

We’re looking for two compassionate and reliable Female Support Workers (one for day shifts and one for night shifts) on a full time or part-time basis to join a dedicated care team supporting a woman with complex medical needs in her family home. While she requires ongoing medical support for a tracheostomy and PEG, your role will be about far more than clinical care. It’s about helping her live the best, most fulfilling life possible.

Whether you're assisting with daily routines or supporting her to enjoy the simple pleasures of life, your presence will make a real impact.

Clinical experience is not required, but previous experience in a care setting is essential. Full training will be provided.

What You'll Be Doing

You’ll provide 1:1 support as part of a small, close-knit team—focused on delivering safe, respectful, and empowering care. Key responsibilities include:

Medical & Personal Care
  • Tracheostomy support (airway management, suctioning, speaking valve use)
  • PEG feeding: nutrition, hydration, medication
  • Administering medication (including nebulisers) and accessing a porta-cath
  • Monitoring vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, oxygen saturation)
  • Supporting with hygiene and personal care routines
Support & Empowerment
  • Encouraging independence through movement and gentle physiotherapy
  • Providing emotional reassurance and companionship
  • Helping access appointments and social or leisure activities
  • Following protocols for adrenal insufficiency (training provided)
Home & Lifestyle
  • Supporting a calm and respectful home environment
  • Comfortable working around pets – the household includes two dogs and a cat
What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • Passion to work within care (full clinical training will be provided)
  • Excellent written and verbal English
  • Calm under pressure with a compassionate and professional approach
  • A genuine commitment to person-centred care
  • Confidence (or willingness) to learn emergency response procedures
  • A warm, friendly personality and the ability to build strong rapport
Why Join Acuity Care Group?

You’ll be joining the Bespoke Health & Social Care division, where person-centred care is at the heart of everything we do. Supported by an experienced, hands‑on Complex Care Manager, you’ll feel empowered and equipped every step of the way.
