Overview

We are seeking a warm, compassionate and proactive Senior Extra Care Support Worker to provide person-centered care and support to our services users based in Hattersley, Tameside.

Creative Support is working with a local housing provider who has recently developed a brand new scheme, which will be providing the highest standards of care to over-55 year olds in an independent living setting.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Management Team in delivering an empowering service that meets the needs of our clients, while fostering a positive atmosphere in collaboration with service users' families and friends.
  • Provide personal care and domestic support; help individuals access work, education, and social opportunities; and enrich lives using the unique personal skills and interests you bring.
  • Work on a roster basis, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
  • Operate with flexibility, energy, and reliability as essential qualities for this role.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in caring for vulnerable adults is essential.
  • Previous experience in services for older people, people with dementia and memory loss is essential.
  • Your approach should be warm, person-centred, and respectful.
  • Full training is provided; opportunity to work towards a QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care.
