Job summary

A supportive care service is seeking an experienced female Support Worker / Personal Assistant to assist a mature lady with personal care, medication, and social activities. Ideal candidates should have experience with mental health conditions and must be Urdu/Punjabi speakers. This part-time role offers £13.50 per hour and requires a full UK driving license and a compassionate approach to client care.

Qualifications

  • References and enhanced DBS required.

Skills

  • Hours: 13 per week (subject to ASC reviews)
  • Pay: £13.50 per hour
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday
  • Language: Urdu/Punjabi speaker essential
  • Driving: Full UK driving licence and own vehicle (with business insurance)
Role Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and assist with household tasks (light cleaning, support / prepare healthy & cultural meals).
  • Support with medication, appointments, and daily routines.
  • Accompany client to social and wellbeing activities that promote health and lung function.
  • Support and encourage daily chair based exercise.
  • Encourage independence, dignity, and overall wellbeing.
Candidate Requirements
  • Female applicants only (Equality Act 2010, Part 1, Schedule 9)
  • Experience supporting individuals with mental health conditions, COPD or asthma
  • Flexible, reliable and compassionate approach to care
  • Proven track record of care / support work and relevant or equivalent qualifications in Health & Social Care (NVQ desirable)
  • References and enhanced DBS required
