Job description
About The Company

Beaumont College supports special school leavers including those with complex autism and social and emotional challenges.

Some of our students have excellent language skills, while others may communicate in different ways. All have learning difficulties. For individuals in this group of students, they may have developed strategies for communication over their lives that aren’t as helpful or easy to understand as they reach adulthood. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, our ethos and culture is to support our young people to develop strategies focusing on positive behaviours, reducing and ideally removing the need for our young people to deploy unhelpful strategies to communicate their needs, be heard, listened to and understood.

About The Role

Hours : 24 hours per week

Salary : £18,400.18 - £21,076.18 per annum

  • Align learning activities with organisational values and subject‑specific pathways.
  • Promote literacy development through tailored sessions that meet individual needs.
  • Conduct and adhere to risk assessments for all learning activities, both on and off campus.

  • Provide clear guidance and resources to support staff and ensure continuity of learning.
  • Act as a personal tutor for a designated group of students.
  • Engage in professional development activities, including learning walks, to enhance teaching standards.
  • Contribute to ongoing quality improvement and self‑assessment processes.
  • Adhere to all organisational and college policies and procedures.
  • Report safeguarding, health & safety, and behavioural concerns promptly and appropriately.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment, addressing any issues swiftly.
