Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Farm Worker / Potato Grader in the East Midlands. You will be responsible for grading potatoes and ensuring quality control while working outdoors. The ideal candidate must be physically fit and attentive to detail, with the ability to work effectively in a team. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 3 PM, at £12.21 per hour, weather dependent.

Job description

Overview

As a Farm Worker / Potato Grader, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the farm, with a focus on potato grading, quality control, and general agricultural duties. This role required physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This is outside work.

Working hours are Monday to Friday 8am until 3pm £12.21ph. This is weather depended.

Responsibilities

• Inspected and sorted potatoes according to size, shape, and quality standards.
• Removed damaged, rotten, or defective produce from the grading line.
• Operated grading machines and conveyor systems safely and efficiently.
• Packed graded potatoes into bags, crates, or boxes for distribution.
• Labelled packaging accurately and maintained cleanliness in work areas.
• Worked as part of a team to meet daily production targets.
• Followed farm safety rules and hygiene procedures.
• Wore appropriate PPE and reported hazards or issues to supervisors.
