Overview

Are you an experienced farm vet looking to take the next step in your career? A dedicated and friendly team in Somerset combines traditional service values with a modern, progressive approach to farm veterinary care. Located in a dairy-rich region of Somerset and East Devon, the practice works with forward-thinking dairy farmers and a vibrant farming community.

Based around Taunton in Somerset, the team operates in an area nestled between the Quantock and Blackdown Hills and within easy reach of the Jurassic Coast. This is a farm-only practice with a strong reputation and an experienced team. They offer autonomy to shape clinical standards and lead service development, with a focus on your interests and professional growth.

Responsibilities
  • Take on routine fertility work and play a key role in shaping clinical direction.
  • Develop and lead clinical standards, with opportunities to pursue post-graduate qualifications or focused CPD.
  • Engage with farmers and participate in discussion groups and training sessions.
  • Work with vet techs and ATT staff to support clinical work and allow focus on core duties.
  • Contribute to a diverse caseload including dairy herds, beef, sheep, and youngstock.
  • Share out-of-hours commitments on a light 1-in-6 rota.
