The Company

What You Will Be Doing

As Farm Manager, you will lead all arable and potato operations. You will:

  • Manage crop planning, planting, growing, and harvest operations
  • Develop and trial new crop opportunities to enhance profitability
  • Create nutrition plans, crop rotations, irrigation schedules, and cultivation strategies
  • Monitor crop performance, pests, and diseases, implementing preventative and reactive measures
  • Recruit, train, and manage permanent and seasonal staff
  • Plan workloads, manage performance, and promote a positive team culture
  • Oversee machinery and equipment care to ensure efficient use
  • Manage budgets, input costs, labour planning, and provide performance reporting
  • Maintain health & safety compliance and champion sustainable farming practices
What You Need
  • Previous farm management experience, ideally in arable and root crop production
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing and motivating teams
  • Strong organisational, planning, and communication abilities
  • Knowledge of modern arable and root crop techniques, machinery, and sustainable agriculture
  • Agricultural qualifications beneficial
  • A proactive, innovative mindset and interest in crop diversification
