Family Support Worker – Through Care Service

We are looking for a family support worker to join our Children in Care teams within the Through Care Service, based at B Bond. This role supports children and young people aged 0‑25 and their families throughout care and as care leavers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supervise family time with children and families to build positive, lasting memories.
  • Help children understand their journey in care by creating a personal narrative.
  • Respond to emotional situations, working flexibly and proactively.
  • Maintain strong communication and relationships with children, families and professionals.
  • Support social workers in case planning and professional development.
  • Manage diary, travel to sites, and work after school hours when required.
  • Deliver high quality written work and demonstrate good IT skills.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children in care or similar settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time, and adapt to changing demands.
  • Good written and IT skills.
