Job Details

30 hours per week, Salary range £30,181 – £32,021 pro rata (with 3% increase expected from 1 April 2026) plus 4% employers pension contribution. Reporting to and supervised by Legal Services Manager. Based at Citizens Advice Teignbridge and/or at home. Fixed term to 28 February 2029 with potential for extension depending on further funding.

Role Overview

This role aims to provide a service to people who would otherwise be denied access to legal advice. The purpose is to support the Legal Services Manager in fulfilling the purpose of the Family Law Clinic by undertaking legal research and providing legal advice and casework on family law matters to litigants in person across Devon.

Practical Details

The successful applicant will be based in the Newton Abbot office or can be home based after a successful induction period. Occasionally, work at other locations may be required.

Requirements

In view of the specialist nature of the role, the successful candidate must be in possession of a qualifying law degree and have experience of providing legal advice – specifically in the area of family law.
