Overview

Family Court Advisor in Private Law – West Yorkshire, earning £35 per hour, ongoing contract. The role is full-time and office-based in Leeds, covering the diverse region of West Yorkshire. This is an opportunity to become a pivotal part of a vibrant Children’s Social Work team, working within the Private Law sector. As a Family Court Advisor, you will make an impact on families’ lives by helping them reach the best possible arrangements for the welfare and safety of their children.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and directly interact with children to capture and represent their wishes to the court.
  • Utilise risk assessment and mediation skills to advocate for child-centred arrangements that are in the child’s best interests.
  • Manage and prioritise workload effectively and work independently to ensure all cases receive thorough attention.
Qualifications
  • Social Work qualification with registration from the Social Work England regulator is essential.
  • Ideally at least three years of experience working with children and families in a social work capacity.
  • Experience in Family Court proceedings and an understanding of Private Law.
  • Organised and resilient with the ability to manage workload effectively.
