Job Title: Family Court Advisor

Location: Birmingham, UK

Salary: £37.25 per hour

Contract Type: Locum – Ongoing

Working Hours: Full Time / Part Time – Flexible

What you’ll do

As a Family Court Advisor, you will work at an advanced social work level, supporting children and families involved in public and private law proceedings. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting high-quality assessments and analysis of court applications involving serious child protection or welfare concerns.
• Advising courts and local authorities on safeguarding matters and advocating for the best interests of children.
• Delivering direct work with children and families, keeping their voice central in all proceedings.
• Acting as a skilled negotiator, influencing parents and professionals to prioritise children’s welfare.
• Supporting judicial case management and contributing to clear, evidence-based recommendations.
• Demonstrating resilience and accountability, managing caseloads effectively using strong IT and organisational skills.
