Job Summary

Due to an exciting period of significant growth and investment, we are now seeking a suitably experienced Facilities Project Engineer to join the team here in our East Cowes facilities. The post holder will be accountable for planning and providing workspace facilities in order to maintain the welfare of our team, and to optimise asset and process reliability at optimal cost - ensuring assets never impact the schedule.

This could be a great opportunity for the right candidate to come in, prove themselves, and progress into a more senior position fairly quickly.

Job Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities will include:

  • Work in collaboration with business partners to capture their workspace and facilities (building) requirements.
  • Plan, design and oversee the configuration, reconfiguration and alteration of equipment and machinery.
  • Gather and review data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, and required completion date and construction feasibility.
  • Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.
  • Prepares bid sheets and, in collaboration with Procurement, contracts for construction and facilities acquisitions.
  • Review and estimate design cost including equipment, installation, labour, materials, preparation, and other related costs
Job Qualifications

Suitable candidates should be able to demonstrate the following:

Essential
  • Project/programme management experience/qualification
  • Significant construction and/or mechanical/electrical experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Desirable
  • Able to plan and estimate construction projects.
  • Understanding of building standards and able to read engineering drawings
  • Demonstrable previous facility engineering experience
  • Professional qualification in an Engineering discipline.
  • Experience working with a Lean Operating Model/Production System.
