Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our highly motivated, dedicated team of Domestics as a supervisor based at Leighton Hospital.

As a Facilities Supervisor, you are responsible for planning and organising the cleaning operations for our hospital, wards and other areas and for the management and supervision of staff, including the porter team, using the e-rostering system and ensuring services are delivered in accordance with National and Trust standards and policies.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organise cleaning operations for the hospital, wards and other areas.
• Manage and supervise staff, including the porter team, utilise the e-rostering system, allocate staff and duties to provide services in line with National and Trust standards and Trust policies and procedures.
• Cover a shift pattern that includes alternate day and evening shifts and every weekend.
• Recruit and train staff, arrange staff rotas, ensure cleaning meets quality standards, manage absence and discipline, and control budgets.
• Be prepared to undertake hands-on cleaning when required.

Our ideal candidate will be reliable, flexible and a good team player, with strong interpersonal and communication skills, and good organisational abilities. The role requires covering 7:30am to 3:30pm, 5 days out of 7, with every weekend and some Bank Holidays.
