Engineering & Facility Manager

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Engineering & Facility Managerto manage the day-to-day maintenance and facility operations of our cold storage warehouse. This role is crucial in ensuring that all technical installations and building infrastructure operate reliably and efficiently to support 24/7 logistics operations.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Operational Maintenance & Facility Management:

    • Plan, coordinate, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities across all site systems, including refrigeration, electrical installations, mechanical installations, climate control, and general building infrastructure.
    • Lead troubleshooting and resolution of critical technical issues to minimize operational downtime.
    • Coordinate and prioritize daily maintenance tasks in alignment with warehouse operations.
    • Manage spare parts inventory and procurement to support maintenance efficiency.
    • Support the implementation of facility improvement and optimization projects.
  • Planning & Coordination:

    • Develop weekly and monthly maintenance schedules.
    • Coordinate and supervise the work of internal technicians and external contractors.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for all facility-related issues at the site level.
    • Facilitate communication between the warehouse operations team and engineering & facility function.
  • Compliance & Safety:

    • Ensure all maintenance work complies with health, safety, hygiene, and environmental standards.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and maintenance-related audits.
    • Develop and maintain emergency procedures for facility systems.
    • Promote a strong safety culture among maintenance teams.
  • Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement:

    • Monitor key facility performance indicators, such as equipment uptime and maintenance effectiveness.
    • Identify and implement opportunities for technical and process improvements.
    • Lead or participate in small CAPEX projects or upgrades at the site level

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Technical diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in industrial maintenance or facility management, ideally in cold storage, logistics, food production, or process industry.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical systems and controls, automated warehouse systems, and climate installations.
  • Proven experience in coordinating maintenance activities and managing contractors.
  • Good understanding of safety, legal, and regulatory requirements for industrial facilities.
  • Experience with CMMS systems and maintenance documentation.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong team orientation and ability to collaborate across functions.
  • Fluent in the local language; English proficiency is an advantage.
  • Flexibility to support 24/7 operations and participate in on-call rotations as needed.
