A leading semiconductor manufacturer in the United Kingdom is hiring a proactive Facilities Labourer to manage waste disposal and support operations. This hands-on role involves flexibility and physical fitness, with responsibilities including waste management, operating equipment, and assisting with office tasks. We are now hiring a proactive and reliable Facilities Labourer to join the manufacturing site facilities team. This is a hands‑on role where you will work both indoors and outdoors, supporting the smooth running of operations on site.
As a Facilities Labourer, you will spend most of your time managing vital manufacturing waste disposal (including hazardous and confidential waste), operating equipment such as granulators and shedders, ensuring segregation and recycling standards are met. Alongside this, you’ll support a wide range of site activities – from setting up meeting rooms and assisting with office moves, to perimeter fence security tours, litter management, and even maintaining the on‑site pond and bird feeding areas.
This varied role requires flexibility, physical fitness, and a willingness to take on routine tasks that are essential to keeping our site safe, clean, and operational. Over a month, you will work 90% weekdays and 10% weekends with usual hours of 8 : 00 am - 4 : 30 pm Monday to Thursday, or just 5.5 hours Friday - Sunday. Additional overtime will also be available at an enhanced rate for weekends.
