Facilities Engineer

Location: Letchworth

Salary: £50,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, Days

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer to join a well-established site in Letchworth , working a stable Monday–Friday day shift . This is a key role responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and compliance of all site facilities and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair building services including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and general facilities systems
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
  • Manage and coordinate external contractors and service providers
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and statutory requirements
  • Support continuous improvement of facilities and energy efficiency
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
  • Respond promptly to facilities-related issues to minimise downtime
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience in a facilities or building services engineering role
  • Strong electrical and / or mechanical background
  • Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of health & safety, compliance, and statutory inspections
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
