Job summary

A healthcare organization in Greater Manchester is seeking a Facilities Assistant (Domestic) to support the cleaning services within their facilities team. The role involves ensuring cleanliness, following health and safety guidelines, and participating in team activities. Candidates should be proactive and willing to attend mandatory training.   • Participate in mandatory and required trainings.
Job description
Facilities Assistant (Domestic) – Responsibilities
  • Carry out tasks in line with Trust policy, national cleaning standards and local instruction.
  • Ensure that infection control, COSHH and health and safety procedures are always followed.
  • Follow the cleaning schedules for each area to achieve required cleanliness levels.
  • Report incidents or near misses as per Trust policy.
  • Store cleaning equipment and machinery correctly, maintain their clean condition, and report defects to supervisor.
  • Safely dispose of all categories of waste in accordance with Trust guidelines.
  • Perform any other reasonable duty appropriate to the band, when requested by Senior Staff.
  • Familiarise and comply with all Trust policies & procedures.
  • Attend mandatory training and other required training (e.g., fire safety, moving and handling, infection control). This may include online training using a mobile phone or computer.
  • Work as part of the team to ensure cleaning tasks are completed in all areas.
  • Carry out other reasonable duties as required by the supervisors.

The postholder will be joining the facilities team which is within the Capital Investment and Estates Services department at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust.
