Job summary

A building service solutions company in Maydown is seeking an experienced fabricator welder. Job description

The company designs, develops, and delivers a wide range of offsite-prefabricated, innovative, and sustainable building service solutions throughout the UK. We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced fabricator to fabricate a range of pipe arrangements. As a fabricator welder, the successful candidate will be required to work onsite daily within the fabricating/welding of pipe arrangements from our shop drawings. The ability to fabricate and weld is required. All types of welds, i.e., TIG / MIG, are required.

Responsibilities

• To operate MIG/TIG welding equipment.
• To read/interpret drawings.
• Fabricate pipe sets for various pipe diameters (typically carbon steel & stainless steel pipe from shop drawings).
• Use of metal cutting and grinding equipment.

Skills and Qualifications

• Previous experience of operating as a Fabricator or Welder, that preferably includes pipe fabrication.
• The ability to interpret welding procedure requirements.
• Able to use shop floor hand tools like grinders, hand plasmas etc.
