A major delivery company in Newcastle upon Tyne seeks a Fabric Technician to provide first-class service and ensure safety of customer premises. Responsibilities include acting as the primary contact for customers, solving fabric-related issues, and maintaining health and safety compliance. The ideal candidate will have skills in carpentry, practical experience with building fabric products, and a full UK driving license.

We are now recruiting for a Fabric Technician covering the Newcastle upon Tyne postcode area. Salary - £31,453 per annum, plus standby allowance c£290 per week, when on rota, and appropriate overtime rate when attending the call, 22.5 days annual leave, rising to 25 with 5 year’s service plus bank holidays. Contract Type Permanent, Full time 37 hours 30 minutes per week. Typical attendance will be 08:00 - 16:00 Monday to Friday. The successful applicant will be required to join an out of hours callout rota 1 in 6 weeks covering a wider area (A vehicle will be provided for required travel). Flexibility around attendance is essential.
You’re the primary for contact with the end users or main customers and will work closely with colleagues including Building Engineering Technicians, Asset Technicians across the business, and with Fabric Team Managers.
You’ll provide knowledge of the Building Fabric industry to the customer, guaranteeing a first-class service is always provided to ensure their premises are secure and safe at all times. You’ll apply your skills and technical knowledge to a range of different situations that require previous experience and judgement to solve fabric related problems or to ensure completion of projects. You’ll ensure full compliance with RMPFS health and safety policies and procedures to ensure safety of colleagues, customers, and the public.
