Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and instructions.

The Role

We are seeking a skilled Fabric Technician to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in fabric maintenance and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to reactive maintenance tasks in line with SLAs.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance within agreed timelines.
  • Perform fabric maintenance including floors, doors, ceilings, and wall coverings.
  • Undertake basic plumbing and carpentry tasks.
  • Use a PDA for work updates and communication.
  • Conduct point-of-work risk assessments.
  • Support minor project works and ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
  • Liaise with client representatives and supervise subcontractors when required.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in fabric maintenance, ideally in a heavy industrial setting.
  • City & Guilds or NVQ in carpentry and/or a recognised plumbing qualification.
  • Strong understanding of H&S procedures (COSHH, Working at Heights, Risk Assessments).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and instructions.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • UK driving licence and PC literacy.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rota (1 week in every 4).
