Overview

Mobile Fabric Engineer/Maintenance Joiner - Stoke. CBW Staffing Solutions are recruiting for experienced Maintenance Joiners/Fabric Engineers who will play a crucial role in ensuring the structural integrity and visual appeal of our clients\' buildings. You will be responsible for conducting a wide range of maintenance, repair and refurbishment tasks on both joinery and fabric elements. This dual role requires versatility, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. This role will predominantly be covering Stoke and surrounding areas. National Facilities Management Organisation: Public Sector/Education.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections of building fabric elements, such as walls, ceilings, floors, and roofs, to identify and address maintenance needs.
  • Perform repairs and renovations on fabric components using appropriate materials and techniques.
  • Install, repair, and maintain joinery elements, including doors, windows, cabinets, and fixtures.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialised fabric-related services, such as upholstery repairs and other outsourced services.
  • Uphold cleanliness and appearance standards for fabric surfaces and finishes throughout the facility.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements to maintain a secure working environment.
Qualifications
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Joinery/Carpentry (desirable, but not essential).
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Joiner, Fabric Engineer, or similar role within the facilities management industry.
  • Strong knowledge of building fabric materials, construction methods, and repair techniques.
  • Proficiency in conducting fabric repairs, joinery installations, and maintenance tasks.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Package & Benefits
  • Competitive salary up to £36,000 per annum (depending on experience).

  • Core hours are Monday - Friday (40 hours per week).
  • Participation in an on-call out of hours rota (to be confirmed).
