A lovely primary school in Gateshead is looking for an EYFS SEN Support Worker to join their early years team. Their nursery and reception staff are warm, experienced and brilliant with children who learn and communicate in different ways. You’ll play a key part in giving one young learner the best possible start to their school journey.
Supporting a child in Nursery or Reception with additional needs
Helping them take part in play-based learning, routines and sensory activities
Using gentle, nurturing approaches to build confidence, regulation and independence
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to keep support consistent
Creating a calm, predictable space where the child can thrive
Experience working with early years children or supporting SEN learners
A warm, patient personality with a naturally nurturing approach
Someone who can stay upbeat and steady, even when the day gets messy
Good communication skills and a genuine love for the early years
An interest in child development, SEND or behaviour support
Weekly PAYE pay with no umbrella deductions
Free CPD including autism awareness, communication strategies and EYFS development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
