Job summary

A growing company in the Glass Industry is seeking an Extrusion Operator to run modern profile extrusion lines in Wigan. The successful candidate will be responsible for tool changes, maintenance, and quality control. Applicants should have at least one year of experience in operating factory machinery and possess GCSEs or equivalent qualifications. The role involves rotating shifts from 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm, Monday through Friday.

Extrusion Operator

Wigan

£31,414.50 per annum, £33,142.30 inc bonus

Monday – Friday - weekly rotating shifts between 6am – 2pm & 2pm – 10pm

As an ever-expanding company they are always looking for enthusiastic people to join their team. This position has become available due to a recent increase in capacity to meet growing demand.

Job Description

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor. You will be required to run various modern profile extrusions lines. You will also need to have the ability to perform tool changes and basic maintenance. Quality control checks will be an important part of the daily routine. As will adhering to health & safety procedures. Previous experience in this field is essential.

Qualifications
  • Proficient in English.
  • GCSE's or equivalent qualifications including Maths and English.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Performing Manufacturing operations or equivalent qualification would be advantageous.
  • Applicants must also have at least one year's experience in operating factory machinery.
Additional Information

The hours of work will be 6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm Mon-Fri on a weekly rotating basis.
