JOB DESCRIPTION
We have a new, part‑time opportunity for an Extra Care Assistant (Housing) to work at our Extra Care Service in Bath. You will be part of a dedicated team where you will work with the Extra Care Scheme Manager to provide a high‑quality housing management service, ensuring safe and secure service provision. You will work to ensure our housing management services exceed customer expectations.
This is a part‑time position, working 21 hours per week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday, 9 am – 1 pm; Wednesday, 9 am – 2 pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advice and guidance for repairs, tenancy management and rents, handing on to specialist teams across Guinness where required to ensure a high‑quality and responsive service for Extra Care residents.
- Engage and communicate effectively with residents, signposting local area information and services.
- Respond positively and timely, using agreed standards to resolve resident complaints.
- Liaise closely with on‑site contractors to minimise disruption; keep residents informed and updated on the progress of ongoing works.
- Liaise with internal and external teams to ensure all customer concerns are followed up whilst supporting the protection and safety of our customers, with safeguarding procedures ensuring appropriate identification, monitoring and reporting of safeguarding concerns.
- Complete routine health and safety inspections including fire safety and periodic visual inspections of fire equipment and complete relevant electronic reporting, ensuring compliance with all relevant Health and Safety legislation and guidance.

- A good level of IT skills and knowledge.
- Good communication (verbal and written) and administration skills.
