At Oxford Royale, teaching is the foundation of our Psychology Summer School programme. We are looking for a passionate teacher to introduce students to key concepts in psychology, including cognitive psychology, social behavior, and neuroscience. The ideal candidate will engage students in critical thinking, guiding them through real-world case studies and discussions on human behavior and mental processes. Lessons should encourage active participation and application of psychological theory to contemporary issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and adapt lessons using the Teacher’s Guide, ensuring content resonates with the students' academic levels and interests.
  • Deliver engaging lessons that introduce major topics in psychology, including behavioral analysis, mental health, and neuroscience.
  • Use subject expertise to ensure student progress, providing personalized feedback and adapting lessons to diverse learning needs.
  • Lead interactive workshops, discussions, and simulations to apply psychological theories to real‑world scenarios.
  • Mark assignments, provide detailed feedback, and complete student reports reflecting individual progress.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as maintaining registers and attending staff meetings.
  • Collaborate with fellow teaching staff to create a stimulating learning environment.

Position Details
  • Programmes are two weeks in length, with options for 2, 4, or 6‑week contracts available between July and mid‑August 2026.
  • Teaching takes place Monday to Friday, with lessons scheduled from 09:00 to 15:00.
  • Compulsory online and in‑person training will be required before starting the role.
  • While key teaching materials are provided, teachers are expected to adapt lesson plans to suit student interests and contribute their own expertise to the course.
Essential Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree (or higher) in Psychology or a closely related field.
Desirable Qualifications / Experience
  • Experience teaching psychology or related subjects to students aged 16-18.
  • PGCE or Master’s degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • Professional experience in psychological research, counseling, or mental health sectors.
