Driver Hire/DH Recruitment (Torbay) is recruiting experienced window and door fitters to join our client's growing installation team, working on high-quality new-build developments across South Devon.

You will be working in pairs, delivering professional installations to a consistently high standard. This is hands‑on, varied work suited to fitters who take pride in their craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Location

The position is based in South Devon, with projects located in Torbay, Newton Abbot, Paignton, Totnes, Kingsbridge, and surrounding areas. All work is within a two‑hour radius of the depot, with no overnight stays.

Pay & Benefits

The Role

• Installation of windows and doors on new‑build sites
• Accurate measuring, fitting, sealing, and alignment
• Safe use of handheld and power tools
• Maintaining clean and tidy work areas on site
• Working effectively as part of a two‑person team
• Liaising with other trades where required
• Completing job records and reporting issues promptly

Essential Experience

Applicants must have proven, hands‑on experience installing:

• Casement windows
• Vertical sliders
• Bi‑fold doors
• Sliding patio doors
• French doors and sidelights
• Composite front doors

Requirements

Essential

• Previous experience in window and door fitting, glazing, carpentry, or construction
• Ability to work as part of a two‑person installation team (existing teams welcome)
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable

• NVQ in Fenestration Installation
• A valid CSCS card
