Overview

Allied Development Group, Inc. is an established and rapidly growing Site Excavation and Utility Contractor. We are currently seeking to fill the position of Project Manager.

Summary

This is a skilled position involving Project management of both earthwork and utility projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ability to manage multiple jobs concurrently.
  • Monitor day-to-day activities, maintain documentation, update schedules and review cost with Project Superintendent.
  • Solicit and qualify vendor/subcontractor proposals
  • Up to date knowledge of Federal, State, and Local Building Codes
  • Knowledge of Permitting, Review, and Inspection Processes with city where projects are located.
  • Review sub-contractor and supplier quote comparisons with the Estimator in order to finalize scopes and pricing to generate purchase orders and Sub-contracts.
  • Prepare, review, distribute, and track submittals for items to be manufactured or provided.
  • Manage profit /loss of projects through weekly/monthly cost reviews.
  • Management of awarded projects including but not limited to: See that all safety practices are followed throughout the project duration, create and update project schedules, assist with or create monthly billings, review of job cost costs, work with field personnel to build project, manage / price change orders and oversight of subcontractor and vendors.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and effectively communicate with field personnel, owners/customers to help ensure complete customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to professionally represent, negotiate with owners, architects, and developers.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Bid 2 Win, Excavating Estimating Software, Blue Beam, and other related estimating software.
  • Maintain oversight and inspection of Site Safety Program.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above and below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience
  • 4 year degree in Engineering, Construction Management OR other related field and/or eight or more years of construction/estimating experience. Experience in earthwork and utilities are required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted.
  • Must have strong organizational skills in order to handle the variety of tasks assigned.
Skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend detailed and involved instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Computer Skills
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to type and use keyboards accurately and have knowledge of database software. Previous use of estimating software, takeoff software, scheduling software, and accounting software is preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Standard Ohio Driver's License is required.
