Job summary

A local educational authority in Lewes seeks an Executive Assistant & Office Manager to provide vital support to the Headteacher and leadership team. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient office operations, coordinate administrative tasks, and foster communication within the school. Salary is £29,289 to £31,262 per year for 37 hours a week, term-time only, plus 6.20 weeks of annual leave. Experience in an educational setting is preferred.

Are you an exceptional organiser with a passion for supporting leadership and driving operational excellence? The Governors are seeking a proactive and highly skilled Executive Assistant & Office Manager to provide vital secretarial and administrative support to our Headteacher Senior Leadership Team and Governing Body.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the efficient running of the Headteacher's office with full secretarial and organisational support.
  • Coordinate administrative tasks and procedures to optimise leadership time and effectiveness.
  • Liaise with the Clerk to Governors to manage Governor‑related work.
  • Support school‑wide compliance and regulatory administration.
  • Foster strong communication and working relationships with staff, students and external contacts.
  • Oversee the delivery of administrative support across the school ensuring high standards and alignment with school priorities.

Salary
