Job description

Pleckgate High School seeks to appoint an Exams Invigilator on a casual contract to support the Examinations Manager. This role involves allowing students to sit their exams in a safe and secure environment while upholding the school’s high standards of integrity and compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct examinations in accordance with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ), the awarding body, and Pleckgate High School regulations and instructions.
  • Uphold the integrity and security of the external examination / assessment process.
  • Maintain confidentiality and secure exam question papers and materials before, during, and after exams.
  • Ensure exam rooms are set up and maintained according to the required specifications.
  • Supervise and observe candidates at all times, remaining vigilant throughout examinations.
  • Undertake training, updates, and review sessions as required.
  • Declare any previous invigilation experience and any current maladministration/malpractice sanctions applied.
  • Confirm availability in advance of main examination periods.
  • Confirm knowledge of and adherence to all confidentiality and security requirements surrounding the invigilation process.
Qualifications and Skills
