Overview

We are seeking to appoint a highly organised and dynamic Examinations Officer and Data Administrator to provide a comprehensive examination service to pupils/students and staff within our Secondary School and Sixth Form.

The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail and communication skills. They need to demonstrate initiative, sensitivity and commitment to the role and the staff team.

Responsibilities
  • Organising and scheduling examination timetables, ensuring all examinations are accurately planned and communicated to pupils/students, staff and relevant stakeholders
  • Managing the examination registration processes, including collecting necessary documentation, verifying candidate eligibility and maintaining accurate records
  • Coordinating examination venues, ensuring appropriate facilities are arranged and prepared and overseeing the invigilation process
  • Liaising with examination boards, external agencies and relevant authorities to ensure compliance with examination regulations and guidelines
  • Managing the secure storage and distribution of examination papers and materials, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to strict protocols
  • Overseeing the arrangements for pupils/students with additional needs, including coordinating reasonable adjustments and providing appropriate support
  • Ensuring the accurate and timely submission of examination entries, results and relevant data to examination boards and relevant authorities
  • Resolving any issues or discrepancies related to examinations, collaborating with staff, pupils/students, and stakeholders to find appropriate solutions
  • Keeping up-to-date with changes in examination regulations, policies and procedures and implementing necessary adjustments to ensure compliance
  • Providing support and guidance to pupils/students and staff regarding examination-related queries and concerns
  • Previous experience working in an examination role in an education setting is desirable but not essential
  • Successful candidates must be prepared to work flexibly with start and end times likely to vary during the busy examination seasons
