Overview

Brentwood Senior School is an academically selective HMC co-educational independent school with small class sizes and a happy, ambitious and supportive staff team. It is part of Brentwood School, a 3-18 HMC school of 1900 pupils, just 35 minutes from London Liverpool Street.

Role

We are looking for Exam Invigilators to conduct examinations in accordance with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ), awarding body and Brentwood School regulations and requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Uphold the integrity of the examination/assessment process.
  • Follow examination procedures during internal and public examinations in line with JCQ and Brentwood School regulations.
  • Provide a calm, reassuring presence to candidates in examination rooms and manage situations involving diverse groups of people.
  • Work well independently and as part of a team, taking and following clear instructions.
  • Operate on an as-and-when-required basis during each examination schedule.
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Availability: minimum four sessions per week during examination periods; one session is either a morning or an afternoon.
  • Reliable, flexible with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; maintain a confident and reassuring presence for candidates.
  • Experience is not required; full training will be provided.
  • Willingness to undergo safeguarding checks appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
