Overview

Estimator (Small Works) – Remote, with regular site travel across the Midlands. Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + Bonus + Mileage + Progression to Senior Estimator + Further Training & Development + Benefits.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator to join a rapidly expanding main contractor specialising in construction, refurbishment, and maintenance projects. You will be joining a forward-thinking business that is going through a high growth period.

This multi-disciplinary chartered construction company has had significant success in the industry, doubling turnover year-on-year, and covers public and private sector clients' construction, refurbishment, and maintenance projects. The business has a dynamic and inclusive culture that encourages support, training, and development across all areas. Due to a growing order book, they are looking to bring an Estimator into the business to primarily work on various projects across the Midlands.

In this role, you will develop detailed cost estimates for tender bids ranging from £50K to £2M, analysing material, labour, plant, and subcontractor inputs to ensure accuracy and value.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for tender bids (£50K-£2M), analysing material, labour, plant, and subcontractor inputs.
• Assess risks, including inflation and logistics, and maintain organised audit trails.
• Coordinate with internal teams to align pricing and tender documentation across multiple project sectors.
• Work from home, with regular work across the Midlands and Northern regions.

Person specification

• Proven experience estimating refurbishment and general construction projects (£50K-£2M) with knowledge of Sanper's core sectors.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills, with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regionally.
• Eligible for and able to obtain security clearance.

Salary and benefits

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per year plus Bonus, Mileage, Progression to Senior Estimator, Further Training & Development, and Benefits. Remote working with regular site travel across the Midlands. The role offers potential career progression and a strong project pipeline.
