Qualifications

We are working alongside these respected residential groundworks contractor as they continue to grow their operations across the Midlands region. They are seeking aSenior Estimatorwith proven experience in residential groundwork estimating, who can confidently prepare accurate and competitive tenders. The role involves detailed take-offs, subcontractor package analysis, and close collaboration with project and commercial teams to support cost planning and risk management. This is a key position for an estimator ready to influence business growth and help secure profitable contracts within the residential sector.

REQUIREMENTS

• Demonstrable experience estimating residential groundworks packages including foundations, drainage, service trenches, and bulk earthworks
• Strong knowledge of groundworks construction methods, health and safety requirements, and subcontractor management
• Proficiency in take-off and estimating software (e.g. CostX, Buildsoft, or Excel-based tools)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documentation specific to residential developments
• Commercially focused with a proven ability to produce competitive bids under tight deadlines and work collaboratively within a commercial team

Salary range £65,000 – £85,000 per annum
