Job Description

Prepare accurate cost estimates for roofing projects by analysing plans specifications, and site conditions. Calculating material and labour cost, sourcing and liaising with suppliers and subcontractors. Submitting bid proposals/tenders to clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Review Project Documents: Analyse architectural plans, technical specifications, and contract documents to understand project scope and requirements.
• Perform Quantity Take-offs: Calculate the precise quantities of materials, labor, and equipment needed for the project.
• Conduct Site Visits: Travel to job sites to assess site conditions, measure roof structures, and gather necessary information.
• Cost Calculation: Determine and quantify all cost factors, including raw materials, labor, equipment hire, and transport.
• Supplier and Subcontractor Management: Source and obtain competitive pricing from material suppliers and quotes from subcontractors.
• Proposal Preparation: Prepare and submit detailed cost estimates, bids, and quotations to potential clients in a timely manner.
• Client and Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients, sales teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and address queries.
• Cost Control and Reporting: Monitor project costs during the construction process and provide reports to management.
