Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing timely and accurate estimates of costs of equipment for project bids as a part of our sales process. They will manage the estimating stage of the proposals and sales process and work collaboratively to support our sales and proposals team. The successful applicant will contribute to securing new projects and maintaining profitable operations by delivering precise and comprehensive estimates.

Responsibilities
  • Understand the equipment cost elements of a project bid and put together an accurate estimate of all cost components for process equipment projects.
  • Obtain quotes from suppliers and making sound estimates for areas where lack of time or specification prevent us from having a supplier quote
  • Work with the bid manager to provide cost support
Skills
  • Excellent literacy and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Qualifications and experience
  • Graduate mechanical or process engineer
  • Ideally at least 5+ years experience of estimator work in a process / systems environment

Salary - £45,000-£55,000
