Job description

Join our international growth journey. We are looking for an Estimator with a passion for heat exchangers!

We are looking for an Estimation & Design Engineer with strong hands‑on experience in heat exchanger design and an advanced knowledge of AspenTech software.

As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced engineer who can bridge design and estimating, transforming complex customer requirements into accurate and competitive quotations. This role is central to our business : your designs and cost models will form the foundation of our custom‑engineered heat exchanger projects.

This is not a generic estimating role. Our products are highly specialised, and success in this position requires deep technical understanding of heat exchanger design, the ability to run and interpret AspenTech simulations, and the engineering judgment to turn specifications into reliable and profitable proposals. If you take pride in precision, problem‑solving, and engineering excellence, we would like to hear from you.

What you’ll do
  • Design and size heat exchangers using AspenTech software and other relevant engineering tools.
  • Translate customer specifications, drawings, and thermal / mechanical requirements into accurate cost models and quotations.
  • Prepare detailed estimates covering materials, fabrication, welding, machining, testing, subcontracting, and logistics for heat exchanger projects.
  • Assess manufacturability, technical scope, risks, and margins to ensure competitive and profitable bids.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and sales teams throughout the quotation and clarification process.
  • Support continuous improvement by analysing project outcomes and refining estimating tools and methods.
What we hope you will bring
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or a related discipline).
  • Proven experience in heat exchanger design is a must.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience using AspenTech software.
  • Experience in estimating or proposals within heat exchangers, pressure vessels, thermal equipment, or heavy fabrication.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, bills of materials, and technical specifications.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes such as welding, forming, machining, and shop routings.
  • Experience with industry standards such as ASME , TEMA , or API is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and estimating tools (e.g., Aspen Capital Cost Estimator, Cleopatra).
