Description
The Counter Lead is responsible for supporting their Brand in driving sales turnover and market share through consistently remaining consumer focused. They are accountable for achieving this by:
- Reflecting a credible and professional Brand image to all internal and external consumers at all times
- Maximising sales through selling, providing excellent service and retail standards
- Contributing to efficiencies through adhering to store/Brand/Company Procedures and guidelines
- Understanding daily/weekly targets
- Ensuring personal awareness of all additional sales avenues i.e. events, Omni and digital channels
- Keeping up to date with competitor activities and missed opportunities
- Using social media to drive the business and protect/enhance the Brand image
- Delivering the Brand Strategy and an effective local plan
- Planning and implementing local marketing & events initiatives, aligned to Retailer activity
- Delivering excellence in service with ongoing improvement of service levels, fostering a zero consumer complaints mindset
- Being an Ambassador for the Brand and ensuring Brand values are represented
- Managing refunds and complaints per Company guidelines and involving the Area Manager as appropriate
- Using digital tools to keep knowledge up to date
- Delivering a consumer recruitment and retention strategy to grow a loyal consumer base
- Developing up-to-date product knowledge to ensure an industry-leading experience
Operations
- Plan to ensure delivery of excellent standards (product, housekeeping, displays, messaging, pricing)
- Review retail standards daily to maintain required levels
- Ensure deliveries, stock movements, and related administration are completed within Company timeframes
- Ensure auditable processes and administration follow Company guidelines and address highlighted risks
- Fulfill information requests accurately and by deadlines
- Minimise stock loss by following Security Policies and Procedures
- Create and maintain a safe working environment and comply with Policies and Procedures
- Achieve a minimum overall health & safety audit grade of Acceptable
Commerciality
- Manage daily replenishment and take action as needed
- Maximise sales using commercial reports before making decisions
- Plan and deliver compliant visual merchandising layouts
- Identify stock package issues and inform the Area Manager if out of direct control
- Manage promotions and discounts in line with Company guidelines
- Identify trends and suggest improvements to product performance
Qualifications
- Experience in a fast-paced retail and/or consumer-facing environment
- Ability to drive self-development
- Commercial understanding and awareness of the industry
- Effective communication, organisation and prioritisation skills
