Qualifications

  • Qualified Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or a minimum of 7 years commercial property experience.
  • Sound knowledge of the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954.
  • Full driving license required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the estate team's delivery of a professional valuation and corporate estate management service.
  • Provide valuation and estate management advice to other council departments.
  • Ensure the Council meets its statutory and contractual obligations.

Skills

Working within thePropertyAssetsteamand reporting to theEstate Manager, the successfulcandidatewillbe responsible forassistingwiththeestatesteam’sdelivery of a professional valuation andcorporateestate management service for theCouncil.Assistingthe team to ensure the Council meets itsstatutory and contractual obligations in connection with Dover District Council’s land andcommercialproperty holdings, theywillprovide valuation and estate management advice to other council departments.

What arewelooking for?
  • Sound knowledgeofcommercial and residentialproperty valuation, building construction and property defects, commercial estate managementincluding the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954.
  • Good ICT skills
  • The ability to be able to work both independently and as part of a wider team
  • Experience of working in the public sector (desirable)

  • Remuneration will depend on experience.

A full driving license is required for this role.
