Qualifications

• Must be able to work on own initiative without close supervision.
• Experience using ppm systems and permits to work is required.
• Experience in an acute hospital environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive and planned preventative maintenance tasks.
• Assist other team members in executing repairs.
• Support tradespersons with mechanical/electrical installations.

Skills

First aid knowledge especially electric shock treatment

Knowledge of planned preventative maintenance on electrical / mechanical systems

Basic plumbing skills

Basic electrical awareness

Education

English & Maths GCSE Grade 4 or above or Functional Skills level 2

City & Guilds or NVQ in relevant course

Health and Safety Training

First aid at work

Competent person Water systems

TMV maintenance

NVQ level 2 or higher preferably in an engineering discipline
