A large healthcare organization in the United Kingdom is seeking an Estates Engineering Maintenance Technician to join their Estates team. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing advanced electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems with an emphasis on providing high-quality service to the hospital. Candidates should ideally possess a HNC/HND in Engineering and some experience at the maintenance technician level, preferably with electrical knowledge. The position offers working hours of 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
The University of North Midlands is looking to recruit an Estates Engineering Maintenance Technician. You will be keen and enthusiastic working within a large Estates team to assist in the provision of a high level of service to the hospital.
Duties will include servicing, testing, verifying, diagnostics, repair and calibration of technically advanced electrical and electronic installations, mechanical systems, plumbing services, engineering plant and equipment, BMS and steriliser/decontamination equipment. The role also requires some statutory testing of decontamination plant and equipment (no experience necessary as training will be provided).
The candidate will ideally be qualified to HNC/HND level in Engineering and have experience of working at a maintenance technicians level, electrically biased.
Location: County Hospital
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm) with flexibility as required. You may be required to work at other UHNM sites and take part in an on‑call system.
The salary includes an initial £1,500 recruitment and retention payment for the first 12 months, rising to 8% thereafter.
