LOCATION: Stroud

DAILY TIMES: Mon – Thurs 08:00–16:30 and Fri 08:00–15.30

START DATE: Immediate

PAY: £12.21ph

CONTRACT: Ongoing Temporary with the chance of a permanent job offer

Job: Food Production Operative

Main duties and responsibilities
  • Hygiene Operations (cleaning of equipment, waste management)
  • Food handling and preparation.
  • Keeping working area clean and tidy
  • Some work to be carried out within cold storage areas.
  • Adhering to all site rules following induction.
  • PPE and clean room items will be assigned to you, which must be always worn. Including a disposable hair net, beard net if required, coat and gloves.
  • Must be fit and active and able lift to 25kg (occasional lifting)
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
  • Understand the required standards that help minimise the risk to food safety including temperature control, cross contamination of products.
  • Completing traceability paperwork
Tasks
  • Weighing vegetables, herbs, and spices.
  • Using the industrial Mixer and Blender
  • Picking, packing, and dispatching of products
  • Making up and preparing boxes for delivery
  • Putting bags ready for delivery
  • Keeping areas clean and tidy to the required standards for food and hygiene
  • General production duties
  • Following the required site rules, for example, no make-up, jewellery, watches, or any type of wrist band are allowed to be worn. A full list of site rules will be given if successful.
